18.11. 2007 Raglan & Bridal Veil Falls

I guessed habs. The muscular cat has struck. Clock in at 09.0'm probably best backpacker hostel woke up. The hostel is really nice and is only recommended. After a nutritious breakfast of scrambled eggs in the microwave :-) (Alyonas idea) began the day. We were thinking if we just trust us again on the boards have, but we do it relatively quickly decided to try again. My muscles gave me the Decision made but not easy. Today we hired a different board. A slightly shorter but similarly broad. Perfect for beginners. We went to the beach and after a relatively warm Beck's gone into the water. Antrinken courage. In the hostel we had seen on the board and have learned that today is at 4.40 clock Hightide. 2.6 m high waves.
to 4.40 was still a long time. The clock had only just clock struck 11.30. The waves were still partially already 1.5 m high. So I am rausgepaddelt and waited for the right wave. The first wave which I then made was superb. I satnnd on Bret from beginning to end, until I am back on the beach.
Fantastic. I did it!
A couple times I've still managed to be on the board but not as long as the first time. But just such a sense of achievement you need the courage not to lose.
it was fantastic.

As the sun beats down mercilessly in New Zealand we have decided to shorten our stay at the beach and in any other place to go. We had 2 options. Either we go in the 1H Cawhia away, where there should be a Hot Water Beach, we make our way to the Bridal Veil Falls which means "Bridal Veil Falls. We have then decided.
I must say that was really impressive. The waterfall was 55 feet high and it came up. This means you come out of the jungle is suddenly at the waterfall edge and can look to the 55 m depth. Madness. Also something I've never seen before.
The country has so many natural attractions that we will make it unlikely to see in 1.5 months for all of them. Schade eigentlich.Na yes back to the falls. We then went on a narrow track into the valley where you could see the extent of the water masses. The waterfall was so huge that he simply did not fit the picture. Indescribable. See for yourself:

Raglan After we drove back to Hamilton where we all still together ate Indian and Alyona discontinued. Butter Chicken gabs with me. Yummy ... Then it
went back to Auckland where Maren, Anita and Vincent, who arrived Saturday waiting to jointly nor a drink to two Cuba Libre. Perfect to sleep after a busy weekend.
